update.....

Well I know it has been a while since I have blogged but...well there really isn't a reason. I'm just plain bad at doing this! SORRY!
As of today I am 37 weeks. This is crazy to me. I feel like the past 9 months have flown by. Maybe because of school but whatever the reason I am just so excited that our little man will be here soon! I am so ready to meet him!! Shane and I have been working like crazy to get everything ready from his room to just other projects we have around our house. I'm really liking this nesting thing and hope it keeps up after Greyson arrives. But I'm sure I will have my hands full with him!
A few updates..
Well my feet are swelling like crazy. I have tried to stay off salt but EVERYTHING has salt and no matter what I eat they keep swelling. SO..I have decided to just enjoy what I am eating for these last few weeks since soon I will have to watch what I eat!
I am going to the doctor every week now but for the last three appointments I have been 50% effaced and his head is low. I was a bit frustrated at this last appointment because I just knew there was going to be more progress but nope! Oh well he can stay until he is ready!
Dr. Chang thinks he will be around 8lbs when he is born. This kind of scares me BUT I heard as long as his head is small I should be ok! We will see! She also said she thinks he might come two weeks early which is next week. Shane thinks he is going to come on Tuesday (April 19) at 9:37 am. I'll let you know if that happens or not. I am so ready to have him but if he comes next week I will have to return to work the last week of school. If that happens it will be an easy week with the kids BUT I just don't want to leave Greyson so I am ok with him waiting 2 more weeks!

Everyone has been asking for belly pictures but I haven't wanted to document being FAT but here are a few I have taken on my phone.

This one was taken in January around 25 weeks. I just thought I was big then!

This one was taken today. 37 weeks!

Over spring break Leslie, Jordan, Deborah, Lindsay, and Aimee threw me a baby shower. It was PERFECT!! I had a great time and it was great to see everyone! Thank you to everyone who came and helped out! Here are just a few pictures.

Ava and Gavin were also here for spring break. All the kids have so much fun playing together. We actually were able to get them to sit for a picture.

This past weekend I was able to spend time with my sweet niece Bren! We had so much fun hanging out. She may be small but she acts so BIG! I am just amazed by how much she talks. I mean she can actually carry on real conversations! I bought her bubbles for being so good at Target. As she would say very happily "I buckle and sit down" I just can't get enough of this girl and knows she is going to take such good care for Greyson. Every time she sees me she says "Reyson right here" (as she points to my belly). She also sits at our swing a bouncer saying "Greyson". It's so sweet. And Jace, well he is just ready for Greyson to come so they can play football!

Well I'm not going to make any promises but I hope to blog more and keep you updated on Greyson's progress!! Only 20 days to go!

The Ice Show

A couple of weekends ago we had a Chesser family outing to the Gaylord in Grapevine to see the Ice show. It was AMAZING! They flew in people from China who used 2 MILLION pounds of ice to create this show which included an ice slide! The theme this year was Charlie Brown Christmas. If you get the chance to go I would Highly recommend it! We all had a great time. The only sad thing was I couldn't go down the ice slide because I am pregnant!
I didn't get many pictures of the ice because my camera battery was dying but I did get some pictures before of the beautiful Gaylord!

I had to get a picture of Ava wearing her new Christmas bow that Aunt Leslie made for her!! She loved it!

Family Picture Time!

Cowboy reindeer!

The wine bottle Christmas Tree.

Getting ready to go into the ice show. They gave us these big jackets to wear to keep warm.

Ava coming out of Snoopy's dog house.

BABY UPDATE!
Well just to give an update about the baby. He is doing great! GROWING!!! We had a
4d ultrasound on Monday that was really cool. Then we had our monthly appt on Wednesday. He is about 13 oz right now which is big so Dr. Chang thinks he is going to be about 8lbs when he is born! AHHH! That kind of scares me but I know it will be worth it in the end! Here are a few pictures from the 4d.

Long over due!

I just realized that the last time I posted was in MAY! This is long overdue! Promise to TRY to keep up! :) Well here is a little rundown of what has been going on since then.

1. The school year ended great! I was sad to see some of them go!
2. I taught summer school. Let's just say that was an experience!
3. Went to North Carolina to see my brother Jeremy come back from Afghanastan. We were happy to have him home but sad to see Aimee and Gavin leave our house!
4. Things were VERY QUITE without Gavin in the house but we adjusted!
5. Started back to school. I have ANOTHER WONDEFUL CLASS! I know this will be another great year.
6. I found out WE ARE HAVING A BABY!!!! Yes its true..we will have a little one in our house again. :)Although this time will be different since I will have to get up in the middle of the night instead of Aimee! We could not be more excited and can't wait to meet our little one in May. Oh and we couldn't have timed it more perfact. I am due May 2, 2011 so I will not have to return to school after maternity leave because of summer...And NO! I will not be teaching summer school again! :)
So that brings us to now. I am 11 weeks preggers. We go back to the dr. on Monday. I know its a bit early but Leslie said they could tell Bren was a girl at 12 weeks so we are hoping we get that lucky and they can tell us something at the appointment. If not we will have to wait another month.

I will keep you updated on how things are going!

My kids

Just a little infomercial!

So today while I was cleaning my house I thought I needed to blog about this great thing I have just discovered! I think its been out for a while but I just bought it not too long ago and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I am talking about the Swiffer WetJet! Mopping is the thing I hate the most about cleaning, so much that I hardly ever do it! NOT ANY MORE!! Now that I have my Swiffer WetJet I don't mind the chore AT ALL! It is actually kind of fun and it makes my house smell SOOO CLEAN! It make mopping so quick and easy! The commercial is so true...You will never go back to your old mop again!!!
So if you are like me and do not have much time to mop all the time go get the Swiffer WetJet. IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE FOR REAL!!!

On another note..I wanted to say CONGRATS to Brad and Jordan on their wedding. It was SO beautiful! I am so glad I was able to be part of their special day! So to J & B I hope you have a wonderful life together full of fun, laughter and many memories!

Oh! WHAT A WEEK!

Well this last week was spring break! It was a MUCH NEEDED break from school! If you are not a teacher you can not possible understand why we need this! I loved being a home with the windows open and being able to be outside!
Ava was able to come stay with us for the week. We always enjoy having her come to Conroe. I know Jace was really excited to see her. Sorry I do not have more pictures but my mom took my camara to DC with her so this is all I have!

On monday we took all the kids to the park. It was such a beautful day...well a BEAUTIFUL WEEK!! Here is Ava waiting to go to the park, in her new big girl seat that we bought her. She was so excited! She just kept saying "It's beautiful and I love it so much!"

All of the cousins. Its so crazy how it went from 1 (which was so quite) to 4 (which is SO LOUD) in a YEAR!!!

Well we are now back to school and I have to admit I was happy to see all of my wonderful kids again! I did miss them! :) We don't have very long left of the school year yet so much more to do!! This time of year is always CRAZY BUSY!! Wish me luck!

30 minute meal

Well I am not one for trying new things mainly because my HUSBAND will not eat it!
But the other day a teacher I work with had this chicken pasta at lunch and it looked SO GOOD so I decided that I would try it. Now that Aimee is living with us she will try anything for me! Well it did turn out WONDERFUL and it was so easy! After a long day at work that is what we all need! It really took only 30 minutes..maybe less!

So here it is...try it if you would like but I HIGHLY recommend it!
oh...and I don't have measurements but you can just make it to taste!

Ingredients:
Linguine Pasta (or whatever type you like)
whipping cream (you can use light, or half and half to make it less fattening)
butter
Chef Paul Prudhomme's Magic Seasoning Blends ~ Poultry Magic (Its the green bottle)
Chicken (I used chicken breast cut into strips but you can use any boneless, skinless chicken)
Tomato's
Chives
olive oil (optional)

-boil pasta as usual.

Sauce
-mix that whipping cream, butter and seasoning in a sauce pan. Mix it to taste. (Use alot of seasoning!)

Chicken
-Cut chicken into strips
-Cover the chicken in the Paul Prudhomee's seasoning.
-Grill the chicken in the olive oil until cooked. (The original recipe said to do it in butter but I did it in olive oil instead!)

-cut up the tomato's and the chives to sprinkle on top of everything. ( I don't like chives so I didn't use that)

Put it all together and there you have it!!!

Let me know how you like it!
