Halloween.

Ok. So I'm not so good at blogging. I always have good intentions of doing it but it never happens...sorry.
Here are some pictures of Halloween. We were in Dallas with Ava. This was our first year to have her for Halloween so it was exciting for all of us. We spent the day shopping for a comforter for her big girl bed she now has at our house thanks to Nana Syliva! She LOVES IT. After that we went to Courtney and Randy's house to carve pumpkins and hang out until it was time to go. Here is the pumpkin Shane carved for Ava. She said she wanted an angry pumpkin.

Picture time!

Ready to go trick or treating. This picture cracks me up because it shows ALL of the personalities!

We went on a hay ride around a neighborhood with Shane's family and some of their friends. It was so fun!! And then a random lady asked if she could join us. She soon realized we were not her friends she was looking for but asked if she could still ride with us until she found them...good thing we are nice people!

Ava got LOTS of candy and had so much fun. She did get tired so for the last 30 minutes we got to ride inside the truck!
Other things going on....I have a new nephew! Gavin Brooks Pimentel was born on Nov 5Th! He is soooo cute! For those of you who don't know Jeremy (my brother) was supposed to be deployed to Afghanistan at the beginning of November and he was going to miss Gavin being born. Well God had other plans and J was able to stay a month longer!!! He, along with Aimee and Gavin, were also able to come down for a visit before he deploys Dec 1. We are all happy to spend more time with him before he goes and of course see baby Gavin. After he leaves Aimee and Gavin will come back to Conroe to stay with Shane and I. I am so trilled that Gavin will be here so we can watch him grow!!!
Since Thanksgiving is this week and I only have to work two days we decided to bring Ava to Conroe. I took off Friday and mom and I drove to get her. She has had so much fun playing with Jace and seeing Bren and Gavin. Shane's parents and Granny are coming in Wednesday for Thanksgiving and will take Ava back with them. So that means....This is MY FIRST THANKSGIVING TO HOST!!! I am a bit nervous about cooking a Turkey but I have been getting much advise from my wonderful daddy on what to do...I will let you know how it all turns out. I think I am going to make Shane and Ava practice with me like that target commercial! :)
I hope everyone has a ....
HAPPY THANKSGIVIGN!

Ava's Birthday

Ok...So I am finally getting around to blogging again. I know its been FOREVER!!!

There has been so much going on. Baby Bren is here! She is so cute! I love when she is awake and talks and smiles...its' so sweet! I think being an aunt is great! I love to spoil the kids! Jace already knows when he is at Aunt Lo's house he can get whatever he wants! But that is what aunts are for RIGHT?!?!?

School has started back. I have to say this is the best year so far! My kids are WONDERFUL!!! I have already grown attached to them! I have 24 right now so we are in the process of getting a new teacher. I will be sad to see some of them go but can only imagine how much better things will be when I have fewer kids!

Last weekend we were in Dallas and we celebrated Ava's birthday. We have been planning the party for a while. She told us she wanted a Dora party, so while she was here in Conroe one weekend we went to Party City and picked out all her birthday things.

My family was so wonderful and made a day trip to Dallas for the party. Ava was so excited to have them there!

Here are some pictures..but sorry they were loaded backwards! OH WELL! :)

The princess opening gifts

My mom bought here this Dora birthday girl stuff. She was so excited. She loves anything princess and dress up!

We had to take time for a family picture.

Ava with her Dora Cake.

The kids getting candy from the pinata. Yes I had to have a pinata at the party!

Jace was ready to hit the pinata. Leslie and the kids came to my house one day last week and Jace helped me fill the pinata. I was telling him what it was and that we hit it with the stick. He wanted to do it right then. We tried to tell him we had to wait until Saturday for Ava's party. But that was not good enough. He wanted the party now! He kept telling Leslie "party mommy, party" in a REALLY whiny voice! It was cute..(well Leslie didn't think so!)

The birthday girl was the first to hit. We let all the kids it and then we had to get Ava's oldest cousin Tyler to break it open. That was one tough pinata!

Ava loved the Dora Pinata. We were worried she wouldn't let anyone hit it but she didn't mind at all!

We had a bounce house. Ava has NEVER jumped in one before so we were surprised when she did not want to get out of it!

This is Tyler, Hayden and Ava having fun!

Everyone enjoying the party.

The WONDERFUL cake Courtney made! She is AMAZING!!!

THANK YOU so much Jaye and Terri for letting us have the party at your house and THANK YOU so much for everyone coming out. I was so fun and it was great to see all our Dallas friends that we do not get to see too often!

Fourth Of July

This year we spent July 4th in Dallas. We weren't planning on it but we decided since we have not been to Dallas since before the wedding we would go. I'm glad we did. We had a GREAT time! I was nervous that Leslie would go into labor while we were gone and we were going to have to rush back to Conroe but she didn't!
We left after Shane got off of work on Thursday. He was able to get off a bit early so we made it in before Ava was in bed. We sat outside that evening with his parents watching Ava play with the water hose. She was having so much fun.
On Friday we met our friends Sammy and Julie and their kids for lunch. It was good seeing them since we haven't seen them since the wedding either.
On Saturday we hung out at his parents house and then that evening we went over to Courtney and Randy's house (Shane's sister and Brother-in-law) for dinner and fireworks. Ava did not care for the fire works too much because of all the loud noise but she did great overall!
The pictures below really are not that great because they are taken with my phone. I still don't have a camera. Hopefully I will get one for my birthday!
The kids on the playhouse before they went swimming.

Time for a family picture!

Ava was able to come home with us for a week. Today we went to the fire stations (pictures to come) and tomorrow my friend Jordan is coming over with her kids Hallie and Ty. Hallie and Ava are only a month apart so they get along great! Jace is staying over tonight because Leslie is going to the hospital in the morning to get induced! Baby Brenley will be here soon! I'm not sure what other exciting things we will get to do this week with the baby coming but I'm sure we can think of something!

Honeymoon

We had a WONDERFUL honeymoon. We went to Destin, FL. It was was so beautiful. I wanted to go to a beach and Shane didn't want to fly anywhere so we decided we would DRIVE to Destin. It took us about 9hrs to get there but over all the drive wasn't too bad. We stayed in the Hilton Resort because it had a private beach. We actually only had 1 day of the beach because Shane got a really bad sunburn. So bad just just went away 3 weeks later! But on the other days we went shopping, went the Gulfarium, drove to Panama City to eat at Margaritaville and did lots of relaxing. It was just great to get away, just the two of us, after all the wedding planning, house buying and the CRAZY school year I had.
I would suggest Destin to anyone who wanted to go to the beach. It had beautiful white sand beaches and water! It was a great vacation place!

This is us leaving Conroe on Sunday.
One of the MANY bridges we had to travel across. I HATE BRIDGES. I think all of Louisiana is just one big bridge!
We took a detour in Biloxi, Mississippi to see the beach. It was beautiful!

There were really cool houses across from the water in Biloxi.

This was our view from our room.

This was a little room when you walked into our room.

The second bathroom.

Our living room looking in from the balcony.

Our bedroom. After staying in the king bed I decided this is what we need. Right now we are sharing a full size bed! We are ready for a new bed!!!

Our first night in Destin. We ate at the hotel overlooking the water. Look how tired we look from the drive!

At the gulfarium. We didn't really know what to expect. We saw it as we drove in. We thought it was like Moody Gardins in Galvestin but we were mistaken! We were the only people there without kids but we still had a good time!

After the Gulfarium we played putt putt golf. I thought I was going to win but I didn't oh well!

We also rode go carts. I did win this!

Well two days after we got married I washed my camera so I had to borrow Leslie's camera for our trip. I forgot to get the charger so after the first day it died. Shane got a few more pictures on his camera so if I can get him to bring his computer home I will post more.
