??

I'm not sure why it is so hard for me to update the blog especially now that it is on my phone! All I can say is sorry!
Here is a little of what's going on. Greyson loves the babysitter! Mrs. Sandy is so good and patient with him! I am so glad we found her!
He started baby food! We started with squash but he had a reaction to that so we stopped. We are now on sweet potatoes (below) and he didn't really care for it at first but now he loves it!

We went to the pumpkin patch. He was so good even though it was his "fussy time"!

He is doing so good sitting up ! He will sit on the floor and play forever! I love watching him explore and play with his toys! He will also scoot backwards
when he is on his tummy.
He hasn't quite mastered rolling from back to tummy but he is almost there!

The next picture was just cute. He sat in a high chair for the first time at dinner tonight! He did every well but was not happy when we were eating and he was not!

He will say "mama" when he is upset. I wish he would say it all the time but I will take what I can get right now!
Overall he is doing great! He is still such a happy baby! And is growing so fast! He will be 6 months on Saturday!

This is Greyson's favorite time of day! BATH TIME! He may be very fussy but as soon as Shane starts to get him undressed and sings his "nooty booty" song he just so excited!

And after bath time it's night night time. We had to get him new pj's today and they are 6months! They are a little big but I'm sure it wont take him long to grow into them. This kid really needs to slow down his growing!

July...REALLY?!?!

WOW! Where has the time gone? I can't believe it's July already! This year is half way over. How can that be?!? I guess time flies when your having fun.
Here is an update of what has been going on since the last post.
On April 29, after 21 hrs of labor and 2 1/2 hrs of pushing, our precious little boy made his arrival at 3:21 am!

Man was he worth the wait! He is the cutest sweetest baby ever! I am so proud and honored to be his mommy!
Although sometimes I feel all my life is right now is makings sure we stay on a feeding/sleeping schedule and tracking poopy diapers I wouldn't change a thing! This little guy has brought us so much joy and we often wonder what we did without him!
I had my first mothers day in May (Greyson was only a week old) and it was wonderful. We had lunch with the family at mom and dad's. All the guys even CLEANED THE KITCHEN! What a treat! :)

My little brother graduated from high school! I can't believe this. It makes me feel so old! But we are so proud of him and can not wait to see what he will accomplish! Way to go Scotty!

We had the Chesser Reunion in June. Everyone was so excited to meet Greyson. He did great! I think I was more stressed out about the whole thing then he was. (This was our first trip with him). He was such a trooper in the car. We only had to stop to feed once each way and to change his diaper! I'm so glad we have such a good little traveler.

We spent July 4th weekend in Dallas with Shanes family. We had people over to his parents house for food and fireworks. It was so good seeing some Dallas friends and let them meet Greyson. Again Greyson did AMAZING in the car. I hope he keeps this up! :)

Greyson is now 2 months old (11 weeks on Friday) and he is getting so big so fast! At his 2 month check up he weighed 14.9 lbs (95%) 24in (80%) and his head was 15 3/4 (50%). This kid likes to eat! :) He is on a good schedule now. He eats every 4 hours, he is sleeping a good 7-8 hrs at night (sometimes longer) and he takes a short nap in the morning but a really good nap in the after noon and another short nap in the evening. He is such a good baby I couldn't' ask for him to be any better! I love watching him learn and discover new things. He loves to stare at the crosses on our wall. He can talk to the animals that hang down from his bouncer or swing for hours. (This cracks me up because he will just talk and laugh...its so cute!) He has the best smile ever that just melts my heart! I love to cuddle and rock him and could talk and play with him for hours!
I feel my summer slipping away from me and I am not ready to go back to work. The thought of leaving him all day makes me cry! I know he will be fine I just LOVE being home with him. I am so grateful he was born when he was so I could have so much time at home with him and not just 6 weeks. I just keep remembering that I'm a teacher I get LOTS of holidays! :)
I will leave you with some recent pictures of him. ENJOY!

update.....

Well I know it has been a while since I have blogged but...well there really isn't a reason. I'm just plain bad at doing this! SORRY!
As of today I am 37 weeks. This is crazy to me. I feel like the past 9 months have flown by. Maybe because of school but whatever the reason I am just so excited that our little man will be here soon! I am so ready to meet him!! Shane and I have been working like crazy to get everything ready from his room to just other projects we have around our house. I'm really liking this nesting thing and hope it keeps up after Greyson arrives. But I'm sure I will have my hands full with him!
A few updates..
Well my feet are swelling like crazy. I have tried to stay off salt but EVERYTHING has salt and no matter what I eat they keep swelling. SO..I have decided to just enjoy what I am eating for these last few weeks since soon I will have to watch what I eat!
I am going to the doctor every week now but for the last three appointments I have been 50% effaced and his head is low. I was a bit frustrated at this last appointment because I just knew there was going to be more progress but nope! Oh well he can stay until he is ready!
Dr. Chang thinks he will be around 8lbs when he is born. This kind of scares me BUT I heard as long as his head is small I should be ok! We will see! She also said she thinks he might come two weeks early which is next week. Shane thinks he is going to come on Tuesday (April 19) at 9:37 am. I'll let you know if that happens or not. I am so ready to have him but if he comes next week I will have to return to work the last week of school. If that happens it will be an easy week with the kids BUT I just don't want to leave Greyson so I am ok with him waiting 2 more weeks!

Everyone has been asking for belly pictures but I haven't wanted to document being FAT but here are a few I have taken on my phone.

This one was taken in January around 25 weeks. I just thought I was big then!

This one was taken today. 37 weeks!

Over spring break Leslie, Jordan, Deborah, Lindsay, and Aimee threw me a baby shower. It was PERFECT!! I had a great time and it was great to see everyone! Thank you to everyone who came and helped out! Here are just a few pictures.

Ava and Gavin were also here for spring break. All the kids have so much fun playing together. We actually were able to get them to sit for a picture.

This past weekend I was able to spend time with my sweet niece Bren! We had so much fun hanging out. She may be small but she acts so BIG! I am just amazed by how much she talks. I mean she can actually carry on real conversations! I bought her bubbles for being so good at Target. As she would say very happily "I buckle and sit down" I just can't get enough of this girl and knows she is going to take such good care for Greyson. Every time she sees me she says "Reyson right here" (as she points to my belly). She also sits at our swing a bouncer saying "Greyson". It's so sweet. And Jace, well he is just ready for Greyson to come so they can play football!

Well I'm not going to make any promises but I hope to blog more and keep you updated on Greyson's progress!! Only 20 days to go!
