Fourth Of July

This year we spent July 4th in Dallas. We weren't planning on it but we decided since we have not been to Dallas since before the wedding we would go. I'm glad we did. We had a GREAT time! I was nervous that Leslie would go into labor while we were gone and we were going to have to rush back to Conroe but she didn't!
We left after Shane got off of work on Thursday. He was able to get off a bit early so we made it in before Ava was in bed. We sat outside that evening with his parents watching Ava play with the water hose. She was having so much fun.
On Friday we met our friends Sammy and Julie and their kids for lunch. It was good seeing them since we haven't seen them since the wedding either.
On Saturday we hung out at his parents house and then that evening we went over to Courtney and Randy's house (Shane's sister and Brother-in-law) for dinner and fireworks. Ava did not care for the fire works too much because of all the loud noise but she did great overall!
The pictures below really are not that great because they are taken with my phone. I still don't have a camera. Hopefully I will get one for my birthday!

Time for a family picture!

Ava was able to come home with us for a week. Today we went to the fire stations (pictures to come) and tomorrow my friend Jordan is coming over with her kids Hallie and Ty. Hallie and Ava are only a month apart so they get along great! Jace is staying over tonight because Leslie is going to the hospital in the morning to get induced! Baby Brenley will be here soon! I'm not sure what other exciting things we will get to do this week with the baby coming but I'm sure we can think of something!

Honeymoon

We had a WONDERFUL honeymoon. We went to Destin, FL. It was was so beautiful. I wanted to go to a beach and Shane didn't want to fly anywhere so we decided we would DRIVE to Destin. It took us about 9hrs to get there but over all the drive wasn't too bad. We stayed in the Hilton Resort because it had a private beach. We actually only had 1 day of the beach because Shane got a really bad sunburn. So bad just just went away 3 weeks later! But on the other days we went shopping, went the Gulfarium, drove to Panama City to eat at Margaritaville and did lots of relaxing. It was just great to get away, just the two of us, after all the wedding planning, house buying and the CRAZY school year I had.
I would suggest Destin to anyone who wanted to go to the beach. It had beautiful white sand beaches and water! It was a great vacation place!

This is us leaving Conroe on Sunday.
One of the MANY bridges we had to travel across. I HATE BRIDGES. I think all of Louisiana is just one big bridge!
We took a detour in Biloxi, Mississippi to see the beach. It was beautiful!

There were really cool houses across from the water in Biloxi.

This was our view from our room.

This was a little room when you walked into our room.

The second bathroom.

Our living room looking in from the balcony.

Our bedroom. After staying in the king bed I decided this is what we need. Right now we are sharing a full size bed! We are ready for a new bed!!!

Our first night in Destin. We ate at the hotel overlooking the water. Look how tired we look from the drive!

At the gulfarium. We didn't really know what to expect. We saw it as we drove in. We thought it was like Moody Gardins in Galvestin but we were mistaken! We were the only people there without kids but we still had a good time!

After the Gulfarium we played putt putt golf. I thought I was going to win but I didn't oh well!

We also rode go carts. I did win this!

Well two days after we got married I washed my camera so I had to borrow Leslie's camera for our trip. I forgot to get the charger so after the first day it died. Shane got a few more pictures on his camera so if I can get him to bring his computer home I will post more.
